Hooray! You survived the first year. You have survived that awesome yet exhausting year. A year full of firsts, memories, trials, and laughs. Your baby is growing up right before your eyes and surprising you with new things every day. Whether you’ve been soaking in every tiny moment, or feel like the entire year has been enveloped in a fog, having survived ONE WHOLE YEAR of a new baby is a reason to celebrate! Cake smash photography for your nearly (or just) turned one year old is such a fun way to celebrate baby’s first birthday. Those toothy smiles, bright eyes, and chubby bellies make for some adorable photographs. As your photographer, my job is to preserve these moments you will never get back in an artistic way for you to enjoy years to come.

Photographing one-year olds is always so much fun and I just love the personality that comes with this age. Each cake smash session includes classic portraits, a custom birthday themed set with a matching cake from my local baker (some babies love it, some hate it, and some are somewhere in between…we never know what’s going to happen!) and we will end it with a fun bath to clean up. I love creating custom sets to incorporate baby’s nursery theme, a birthday party theme, a favorite book, hobby, or any other ideas you might have. I’d love to brainstorm with you!

Pregnancy is a time of great change! A maternity session is a beautiful way to capture your growing belly as you preserve those memories before your little one arrives! Even if you aren’t overjoyed with the changes in your body right now. This is an exciting time in your life and my goal as a photographer is to capture the most beautiful images for you to treasure.

You will want to schedule your maternity session between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy so you’re showing enough belly! Be sure to contact me early on in your third trimester to schedule your maternity session! Its best to wear maternity clothes, avoid patterns and most importantly make sure you’re comfortable. When looking through your closet or out shopping look for clothes that are comfortable but make you feel confident & beautiful! I also offer a variety of custom maternity gowns, be sure to ask what gowns we have available to use for your session.

Family sessions are a beautiful way to capture genuine moments between loved ones. We spend so much time taking pictures of our kids on our phones that very seldom do we as parents get behind the camera and get in the pictures with our children. You and your children will treasure these moments of you all together for years to come!

I understand it can be challenging to get everyone looking their best and in a decent mood for a family session. The reality is, getting the family together for pictures can be stressful but I am here to help make that fun! I will help direct you into poses and try to make you look your very best! We all know that when our kids are done… they’re done! We will do a series of poses with everyone looking and smiling but I will also focus on the interactions with you and your children and try to capture those moments! At times, I will have you tickle your child, hold them up in the air or even twirl them around. That will help take away the pressure from them feeling like they have to smile the entire time and I can capture those raw moments! We want them to enjoy the session too! We will do various groupings, so each child by themselves, each child with each parent, and the family as a whole. Sessions start around sunrise or sunset, so we can get that gorgeous golden glow, and last approximately 60 minutes.

My turn around time on all galleries is 1-2 weeks! You can purchase a few favorite images or the entire gallery – it’s totally up to you, but you don’t have to decide until after you’ve seen your photos. That way, you’re investing in photos you know you’ll love, cherish, and display in your home for years to come.
